Are Preppers and Survivalists now being recognised as ‘wise‘ people or are they still seen as being a bit ‘weird‘?
Preppers and survivalists have traditionally been on the fringes of society (unless of course you are in a community of like-minded folk) but with the Covid-19 Pandemic, are they now having the last laugh?
The headlines above are just a few examples of how the mainstream media are now looking to survivalists and preppers as those who were wise enough to plan ahead and have the skills of self-sufficiency. ‘News’ like this can be found all over the internet now that people have hindsight vision!
Are preppers and survivalists now ‘mainstream’?
I came across this short video on the RT website which simply asks ‘Are Preppers Crazy?’.
I think we all know the answer to that question but it’s worth a look if you have time. It’s only 10 minutes but it asks a few pertinent questions and even delves into the subject of bunkers and asks if that is too extreme.
What do you think? Are you crazy? Or weird?…
So, what do you think?
- How has survivalism and prepping changed over the time you’ve been involved in it?
- Have you just started prepping or learning about survival skills?
- Do you feel on the fringes of society, or are you mocked because of your interest in survivalism and prepping?
- Do you feel smug that you were prepared whilst others have been scrambling for food and toilet roll?! Do you know how to store food for the long term?
Let us know in the comments below….
Let us know what you think. Are you weird or wise?!!
why do people save money? For a rainy day or they may need it down the road. Be prepared for you may need it. better to have it than need it and not have it
Better to have and not need, than need and not have!
